How to feel good about yourself

A more positive experience than a negative feeling is not enough to feel good about yourself. The meaning of everything we live needs to be specified.

What is a positive emotion?

It is mainly characterized by the happiness of those who live in it. A feeling is positive when combined with any one of the following conditions:

• Feelings caused by emotions are considered pleasant
• The object of emotion is considered “good”
• Behavior that feels that feelings are favorably assessed
• Emotional results are beneficial.

What is happiness?

Two species called eudemonia and hedonism find happiness.

Eudemonia (perfection of being) disrupts the notion that happiness is not only about experiencing blissful states, but also that it directs people to achieve its goals or objectives, thus giving meaning and harmony to its life. Feeling good about you is more than just feeling comfortable. Achieving what you set out usually involves effort, discipline, and perseverance that often yields not only instant gratification, but also long-term satisfaction.

Bertrand Russell defined his complex definition of happiness as:

Three simple, but extremely intense emotions have ruled my life: the longing for love, the search for knowledge, and an unbearable sorrow for the misery of humanity. It’s been my life I’ve found it to survive and if given the chance I’ll survive it again. 

Effects of feeling good about yourself:

• You feel good about yourself, not on yourself
• Good memories are easy to come to mind, integrate and feel good about yourself
• More flexible and positive mentality
• The problem is easy to solve
• The tendency to be more creative
• Less difficulty in making decisions
• Proximity and quality relationship

Happiness is more than just a pleasurable and enjoyable experience, it all makes sense when happiness is actually happy.
